Housekeeping Supervisor Jobs – Marriott Japan

Marriott International Hotel Japan is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our hospitality team. This role is essential for maintaining the hotel’s exceptional standards of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will lead daily housekeeping operations, support and guide your team, and ensure that every guest room, corridor, and public area reflects Marriott International’s premium standards. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and safe environment for guests while contributing to the smooth operational efficiency of the hotel.

What You’ll Do / Key Duties

• Lead the Team: Take charge of housekeeping operations by assigning daily tasks and schedules to Room Attendants and other team members. You will ensure that each area is fully staffed, organized, and operating efficiently to meet the demands of a busy hotel environment.

• Inspect & Maintain: Conduct thorough inspections of check-out rooms and perform regular spot checks of occupied rooms. Your goal is to ensure every room meets the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation, providing a memorable experience for every guest.

• Coordinate & Resolve: Monitor maintenance issues, track operational concerns, and collaborate closely with the Engineering and Front Office teams. Timely resolution of these issues is critical to maintain safety, functionality, and guest satisfaction across all areas.

• Organize & Clean: Plan, schedule, and supervise deep-cleaning programs, periodic housekeeping routines, and special projects. You will ensure that every corner of the hotel remains spotless, organized, and in line with brand expectations.

• Train & Support: Coach, mentor, and motivate Room Attendants and other team members to perform at their best. Continuous training and guidance help maintain Marriott International’s high standards and develop a skilled, efficient team.

• Manage Resources: Oversee linen and inventory management, maintain housekeeping equipment, and implement cost-efficient practices. Proper resource management ensures smooth operations while controlling wastage and maintaining quality.

• Guest-Focused Service: Address VIP guest rooms, special requests, and unique requirements promptly and professionally. Exceptional guest service is a top priority and reflects directly on the hotel’s reputation.

• Brand Compliance: Ensure all housekeeping operations strictly follow Marriott International brand standards, policies, and safety protocols. Maintaining compliance safeguards quality, safety, and the overall guest experience.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills. You should have:

• Prior experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering outstanding guest service.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with team members, guests, and other departments.

• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.

• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests.
