Duties and Responsibilities
As a Blueberry Picker your primary responsibility will be harvesting ripe blueberries to meet quality and productivity standards This involves walking along designated rows of blueberry plants carefully hand picking ripe fruit and placing it gently into collection buckets Attention to detail is important to ensure only suitable fruit is picked and handled correctly to maintain freshness and quality No previous experience is required as full training and ongoing support will be provided to ensure all workers understand the picking process safety procedures and quality expectations.
Work Period and Hours
Work is available immediately and will continue through to February, depending on seasonal conditions and fruit availability. Employees can expect to work between five and seven days per week, with daily hours generally ranging from six to eight hours. Start times and daily workloads may vary due to weather conditions and fruit volumes; however, consistent work is available throughout the main harvest period for reliable workers.
Pay, Accommodation, and Benefits

Payment is on a piece-rate basis, with rates adjusted according to market conditions and crop performance

Wages are paid weekly via bank transfer, including official payslips suitable for Working Holiday visa record-keeping

Accommodation is available for those who require it, at a cost of approximately $180–$200 per week

A refundable bond of $300 is required, returned upon departure with two weeks’ notice

Daily transport to and from the farm is provided

Weekly shopping trips are available for a small daily fee

Work qualifies as eligible specified work for second and third-year Working Holiday visa extensions
